U.S. Senate

Republican Chuck Grassley is seeking an 8th term. A competitive primary exists on the Democratic side between Former Rep. Abby Finkenauer and retired Navy Admiral Mike Franken. Whoever wins the nomination will have an uphill battle as most forecasters rate the general election as 'Safe Republican'.

Governor

Republican Kim Reynolds is seeking a second full term. Her renomination is uncontested. For the Democrats, businesswoman Deidre DeJear is unopposed for the nomination.

U.S. House

These primaries will be conducted using redistricted boundaries. Below the result for IA-03 GOP primary are party-specific tables for each of the state's four congressional districts. Use the associated drop-down list to change the active district in the table.

Iowa District 3 (Republican): Democrat Cindy Axne is seeking a third term. This is the state's most competitive district after redistricting; three are competing for the GOP nomination.

State Senate

Republicans hold a large 32-18 majority over Democrats in the Iowa State Senate. Members serve four-year staggered terms; half of the districts are up for election this year.

State House

Republicans hold a 60-40 edge over Democrats in the Iowa House of Representatives. Members serve two-year terms.
