Super Tuesday: Democratic Presidential Primaries
This page will provide live results and delegate allocations for the 14 states and one territory holding Democratic presidential primaries or caucuses on Super Tuesday, March 5. In addition, Iowa Democrats will release the results of a mail-in preference vote that has been conducted since the party caucus in January.
Pledged Delegate Summary Results
1,420 pledged delegates are at stake Tuesday. That's over 35% of the 3,934 available across all Democratic nominating contests.
All Democratic contests allocate delegates the same way; proportional to candidates getting 15% or more of the vote. Some of the delegates are allocated based on the statewide vote, while others are based on state-specified jurisdictions. In most cases, it is by congressional district.
The 15% threshold makes it likely that the overwhelming majority (perhaps all) of Tuesday's delegates will be added to Joe Biden's total.
