Live Results: Mayoral Primaries in Three Nevada Cities

Coinciding with the statewide primary, voters in three Nevada cities, all among the nation's 100 most populous,1 1City rankings are based on July 1, 2021 Census Bureau population estimates. They are for the city itself, not the associated metropolitan area will cast their ballots in mayoral elections Tuesday.

These are nonpartisan contests (NPA in the results tables).  Polls close at 10:00 PM Eastern Time.

Henderson

Henderson is the 57th largest city in the United States, with a population of approximately 320,000.  The mayor is Debra March. She is running in the Democratic primary for Lieutenant Governor.

There are three candidates on the ballot. If a candidate gets a majority of the vote, they are elected. Otherwise, the top two finishers will advance to the November 8 general election.

North Las Vegas

North Las Vegas is the 79th largest city in the United States, with a population of just about 275,000.  The mayor is Republican John Lee. He is running in the Republican primary for Governor.

There are seven candidates on the ballot. If a candidate gets a majority of the vote, they are elected. Otherwise, the top two finishers will advance to the November 8 general election.

Reno

Reno is the 82nd largest city in the United States, with a population of nearly 270,000. The mayor is Hillary Schieve, who is seeking her third term.

Schieve has drawn a large field of opponents on the primary ballot. Regardless of vote distribution, the top two finishers will meet in the November 8 general election.
