President
Presidential primaries were held March 12.
U.S. House
Court-ordered redistricting modified the state map, but didn't change the bottom line here: There are 9 Republican seats, 5 Democratic ones, and little general election competition. District 6 moved from Safely Republican to Safely Democratic, while District 7 went in the opposite direction. The incumbents in those two suburban Atlanta districts are swapping places.
The only primary of note is in the safely Republican 3rd district, where incumbent Drew Ferguson is retiring. Five candidates are looking to succeed him in the GOP primary. Brian Jack, White House Political Director for Donald Trump, has been endorsed by the former president. Former State Sens. Mike Crane and Mike Dugan, as well as former State Rep. Philip Singleton are also well-funded. A runoff may be needed here.
