President

U.S. Senate

Incumbent Robert Menendez is not seeking renomination by the Democratic Party, although he has filed to run as an independent. Menendez was indicted on corruption last September, with additional charges added in the months since.

Rep Andy Kim (NJ-03) entered the race the day after the Menendez indictment. He withstood a challenge from Tammy Murphy, wife of Gov. Phil Murphy and is now a heavy favorite for the nomination.

Four candidates are seeking the Republican nomination. The frontrunners appear to be Curtis Bashaw, backed by much of the state party establishment and Christine Serrano Glassner, who has been endorsed by Trump.

U.S. House

District Party Comments
3 D Incumbent Democrat Andy Kim is running for U.S. Senate. There are five candidates looking to succeed him. The frontrunners appear to be State Assembly District 7 members Herb Conaway Jr. and Carol Murphy. (In New Jersey, there are two assembly seats in each district.)
3 R With the incumbent not running, four Republicans are seeking the nomination. It will be an uphill climb for the winner, as the district became more favorable to Democrats in redistricting after the 2020 Census.
8 D Hoboken Mayor Ravinder Bhalla is challenging Rep. Rob Menendez, who is seeking a 2nd term. Bhalla is attempting to tie the incumbent to the legal troubles of his father, Sen. Bob Menendez.
