California 21st District
The Associated Press, Decision Desk and many others initially called this race for Republican David Valadao, who led by 8% on November 7th. However, the race tightened as more ballots were counted, with many of the uncounted areas favorable to Democrat TJ Cox.
On November 21, with his lead having narrowed to 400, the call for Valadao was retracted by our results partner, Decision Desk. On November 26, Cox took the lead and the Associated Press also declared that the race was now too close to call.
3 races remain uncalled by the Associated Press. In addition to the aforementioned CA-21, these are NY-22 and NY-27 in upstate New York. Decision Desk has called NY-22 for the Democratic nominee (a gain for the party) and NY-27 for the Republican incumbent.
