Same Since 2000
States that have voted for the same party in 6 consecutive presidential elections
George Bush won the controversial 2000 presidential election. Despite the closeness of that vote, 6 states, worth 47 electoral votes as of 2024, joined the Republican bloc. Arkansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Missouri, Tennessee and West Virginia have been red since.
Arizona also flipped to the GOP that year and continued red until Joe Biden won it in 2020.
If this 2000 map looks familiar, it is because most of the uncolored states remain those we consider battleground states today.
