Live Results: Florida State House Special Election

There is one special election on Tuesday. It is for a battleground district in the Florida House. Polls close at 7:00 PM Eastern Time.

Florida State House District 35

Republicans hold a commanding 84-35 majority in the Florida House of Representatives. There is one vacancy to be filled via this special election. Members serve two-year terms; the next elections are in November.

District 35 is in the east central part of the state, including portions of Orange and Osceola Counties. The seat has been vacant since last summer, when Republican Fred Hawkins resigned. Hawkins won by a 55% to 45% margin over Democrat Rishi Bagga in 2022. However, in 2020, the district favored Joe Biden over Donald Trump by 5 points.

Tom Keen won a competitive three-way Democratic special primary in November. Erika Booth emerged victorious in the GOP primary.
