Live Results: Puerto Rico Democratic Primary

Puerto Rico Democrats will hold their presidential primary on Sunday. Polls close at 3:00 PM Eastern Time.

55 pledged delegates are available. 19 of these will be awarded to the winner of the islandwide vote. The other 36 will be based on the vote in each of eight Senatorial Districts. Each district will have four or five delegates.

In each case, there is a 15% threshold to qualify for any delegates. As such, Joe Biden is expected to win them all, adding to his total of over 3,200.

Upcoming Elections

In addition to the below, Republicans in Montana will hold a convention on May 18 to elect delegates. The statewide primary date of June 4 is out of compliance with party rules (too close to the date of the national convention). Doing it this way will preserve each state's full delegate allotment. These delegates are expected to be unpledged.
