The final Congressional race - in California's 13th district - was called on Wednesday.
Select any of the maps below for an interactive version of the 2024 results. We expect to have 2026 maps for Senate, House, and Governor available in January (possibly sooner).
President
Donald Trump swept all seven battleground states to join Grover Cleveland as the only individuals to win the presidency in non-consecutive terms.
He'll be sworn-in at noon on January 20. For those interested, here's an inauguration countdown clock.
The process for making the presidential election official will continue until January 6. By December 11, each state (and DC) will have filed a Certificate of Ascertainment, which certifies the winning slate of electors. These electors will convene in their respective states on December 17.
Senate
Republicans regained control by flipping seats in Montana, Pennsylvania, Ohio, and West Virginia.
Overall, there will be 12 new Senators. However, that number will grow by two in the near future, with upcoming vacancies in Ohio (J.D. Vance) and Florida (Marco Rubio). Vance will become Vice-President on January 20, while Rubio has been nominated to be Secretary of State.
The governors of those two states will make an interim appointment. Each will serve until a special election is held in November, 2026. The winners will serve until the next regular election for these seats in 2028.
Next year, there will only be three states - Maine, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin - that have one Senator from each party.1 1Independent Senators Angus King (Maine) and Bernie Sanders (Vermont) caucus as Democrats, and are counted that way for this purpose. That is the lowest number since Senators began being elected directly (1914).
House
Republicans maintained control, but with a net loss of one seat. Republicans won 220 seats, Democrats 215. Speaker Mike Johnson will have to navigate an even narrower margin for the first few months. Matt Gaetz (FL-01) has already resigned. Michael Waltz (FL-06) and Elise Stefanik (NY-21) are expected to leave early in the year to join the Trump Administration. Waltz will likely depart leave first, as his position doesn't require Senate confirmation.
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis has set April 1 for special elections in both Florida seats. New York Gov. Kathy Hochul will set the date for Stefanik's seat after she vacates her seat.
Governor
While all eleven contests were won by the incumbent party, all but three of them will be new to the office. The other eight either couldn't run due to term limits, or chose not to run.
